Voice Work

Audiobook narration is a new passion of mine (and a long-awaited chance to utilise my drama degree!). I'm happy to read all genres, and I will work closely with you every step of the way to make sure your stories and characters are brought to life just the way you've envisioned.

I have my own home setup utilising Audacity, accounts on both ACX and Findaway Voices and in-depth knowledge of their required audio specs, and have completed The Complete Audiobook Production and Narration Course from Udemy.

I offer workable rates of £50-80 ($65-105) per hour of completed audio content. Demos and testing, and revisions, are an additional cost. I've also worked on royalty-based payments. We can work together to find a price that suits you.

L Spooner was a joy to work with. Swift, attentive, and supportive, they made sure my book sounded good, the characters emoted, and the files met industry specs. Their rates were affordable and delivery was efficient. I'll definitely hire L Spooner for future audiobooks. Thanks so much for bringing my book to dramatic life!

L Spooner is an absolute delight to work with. I'd never converted my books to audiobooks before, and they made every step of the process painless and even enjoyable. The best part was getting back the audio files as they finished chapters. I'm not exaggerating when I say I started to tear up! They bring so much life to the characters that until now have only had voices in my head. They are excellent at taking the directions you give them and turning them into fully-realized worlds. I'm planning to work with them again, because I've been completely spoiled by their good work and couldn't imagine anyone else reading my books. I can't say enough good things!

L was an unbridled joy to work with. Their voice was calm and neutral for the narration of the audiobook, whilst their accents and acting skills lifted the book to another level. Coupled with their confidence at recording, editing, and working to ACX specs, I can heartily recommend them for narration work.

L. Spooner was a joy to work with. Their reading hit the right emotional beats and their experience as an actor meant that they were able to make each voice unique. This was no easy feat given how many diverse ages and backgrounds are in the novel. I particularly loved their voice for Isaiah, a young graffiti artist. Communication was always clear and timely, and L. Spooner responded well to steers. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

I am also experienced with providing voice-over for short videos and animations, using styles and terminology that cover a wide range of industries.

I'm happy to chat things through and discuss my rates, as I charge for voice-over work on a case-by-case basis, and if we do end up working together then I can provide examples and work with you to discuss exactly what you want in terms of style, accents, pronunciation, timings, and more.
